As the leading medical recruitment agency in South Africa, we have a role for a Senior IT Architecture Specialist for a large private hospital group. In this role you will be responsible for leading and promoting your passion for tech. The ideal person will have experience architectural design, implementation, maintenance and operational activities for the following technologies and supporting systems and solutions: Microsoft based technologies, Security based solutions and technologies, Monitoring based solutions, Communications and messaging technologies, Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Virtualisation technologies, Mobile solutions and hardware and storage based technology.

**Desired Skillset**:
Microsoft Exchange and messaging solutions, MS Teams / Skype for Business, Windows Server Operating Systems, Internet PROXY services, Anti-Virus, Virtualisation, Microsoft patching, Information Security and compliance, Reporting and trend analysis, Microsoft architecture and solution design, Project management, Cloud administration and implementation, Defining new cloud strategy solutions, Cloud security, IaaS, BaaS, SaaS, MaaS, PaaS, Azure Administration, Azure Development, Azure Security Engineering, Messaging Administration, Cloud Storage, Virtualization, Enterprise Administration

**Responsibilities**:

- Architect IT solutions to meet business requirements
- Design and participate in the development of strategies for the future direction of the information technology infrastructure and technology solutions.
- Create a strategy for establishing a secure and well-managed enterprise environment in Azure.
- Configure and manage Virtual Networks in Azure, establish core services in the VNET, enable Azure to serve as a part of the network.
- Design, Plan, document and lead infrastructure projects; participate in the IT Department's solutions development projects as a system specialist and solution provider, with the overall aim of providing well engineered, secure and integrated solutions.
- Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in Azure
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required

**Job Requirements**:

- B degree OR relevant technology advanced diploma at NQF level 7.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
- Minimum 8 - 10 years in senior technical specialist role.
- Minimum 5 years Microsoft technology and solutions design experience.
- Microsoft Exchange Certification
- Azure Certified Administrator
- Azure Certified Architect
- O365 Administrator
- ITIL v.3 or 4
- COBIT
