IT Specialist

**The Role**

The purpose of the role is to maintain IT infrastructure, policies and provide general IT support to enable a seamless day to day running of all technological functions. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems that a business uses to maintain computer and software networks.

**Job Responsibilities
- Assist with developing security measures, standards and procedures that effectively safeguard sensitive data.
- Monitor security tools and attempted data breaches.
- Identify and resolving server and network security risks.
- Patch management and maintaining servers and networks.
- Maintain effective IT communication with Pele head office staff and site staff.
- Train staff on new technologies implemented.
- Troubleshoot all office IT hardware and software issues.
- Liaise and work with IT service provider to best grow the business.
- Compile IT reports for management.
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve problematic areas and implement relevant solutions in due time.
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
- Manage IT assets and information.

**Requirements**:

- BSc Computer Science qualification or equivalent
- 8 years’ experience in similar role
- SharePoint knowledge and experience
- MS Power BI knowledge and experience
- Experience working with Mac OS, IOS, Android and Windows products.
- Cybersecurity experience
- Experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Cloud computing knowledge
- Knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer systems
- Knowledge of ICS/OT deployments
- Understanding of endpoint security solutions, firewalls and URL filtering
- Knowledge/Understanding of recognized standards, i.e. ISO/IEC 27001/2, IEC 62442/ISA 99, NIST is preferred
- Ability to work independently without little oversight from management.
