**SITE PLANNER**

Full-time position based in parts of South Africa
- OffWorld is a robotics startup working on developing a mobile robotic workforce for heavy industrial jobs on Earth, Moon, asteroids & Mars. OffWorld was founded by an experienced engineering team drawing on decades of tackling formidable engineering challenges at NASA, ESA, NOAA, Maxar Technologies, CERN, Reaction Engines, SAFRAN, Surrey Satellites and Cisco. OffWorld’s first challenge is developing and maturing a modular robotic system for extreme environments on Earth. Our robots will go deeper underground and further on Earth than humans can, eliminating the need for humans to work in life-threatening environments in mining, construction, tunneling and other dangerous industries. They will also dramatically reduce the environmental footprint and cost of operations in key economies on Earth and beyond._
- We have designed a modular robotic architecture that focuses on maximizing the commonality and reusability across components for fast deployment and optimization. Our robotic systems combine sensory information with cutting edge machine learning (ML) for control and decision making._

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Assist in creation of a site budget prior to project kick off
- Collaborating on initial project schedules for site
- Developing a risk management plan for site
- Feedback and reporting
- Work with Project Controls Manager to Develop and define project goals and objectives for site
- Assist with Scheduling activities on site.
- Recommend modifications to improve overall efficiency for site and identify possible bottlenecks.
- Plan, coordinate, monitor and analyse activities effectiveness in the field to ensure project continuity and completeness on site.
- Work with the PCM to prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members.
- Update schedules and site-specific risk register management plans.
- Track and provide feedback of site changes and their impact to the project and the project trajectory.
- Identify changes in work scope on site in the project plan.
- Partake in appropriate daily planning sessions with the team and update the schedule accordingly.
- Convey required project data and information to project teams.
- Assist the PCM with preparation of project reports and presentations for clients should it be required.
- capture meeting minutes and lessons learned so teams can focus on actual execution rather than routine tasks.
- Evaluate and analyse risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them on site.
- Assist in development of baseline schedule and support Project Controls Manager with Baseline Reviews.

To hit the ground running, you will need the below qualifications, skills and experience:

- Engineering Degree
- Mining industry experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Willing to travel and be on site for majority of the year.
- Programming languages and project management systems
- MS Projects experience
