Our client a dynamic sports broadcaster is looking for an Outside Broadcast Producer to manage content creation on Live Outside Broadcast.

The successful applicant will be expected to produce content on a weekly basis that complements racing and enhances the live action on a racecourse, including researching, scripting, archive searches and on-location production. The OB Producer will work closely with the OB director and crew to augment the live-action content relevant to the races being covered. The role is based in Johannesburg.

**NOTE: Please note this is a Freelancing Position**
**Required Skills / Knowledge**:

- 3 - 5 years of experience as a Producer across either social or broadcast
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required
- Experience in producing high end features for digital or broadcast usage
- Advanced understanding of content creation and trends for social media and OTT output
- Advanced knowledge of live production, OBs and studio production
- Ability to accurately research and maintain production workflows
- Experience in producing multi-platform content solutions
- Proven track record of project management across multiple departments / stakeholders
- Highly responsive with strong communication skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Basic knowledge of broadcast systems
- Understanding of broadcast standards and SOPs

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the production elements on a live broadcast
- Produce content to engage horseracing viewers and punters across all operated channels
- Work with the marketing team to create and manage content initiatives which engage the local viewership as well as attract new viewers
- Work with the Events, PR, social media partners and OB teams to create content solutions around local horseracing events by way of promos, vignettes, short form magazine shows and channel fillers
- Conduct on-site interviews with high profile industry stakeholders and on the ground staff
- Manage resourced presenter base
- Scripting of broadcast planners and production rundowns
