Duties/Pligte
**General office management**:- Providing general administrative and secretarial support to staff.
**Academic support service**:
Liaising with prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students in terms of general programme information and auditions, in cooperation with the programme coordinators;- Facilitation of undergraduate and postgraduate student registration;- Scheduling departmental class, venue and relevant exam timetables;- Collating, capturing and controlling exam papers and marks;- Organising internal and external examiners and moderators;- Administrating departmental bursaries and competitions;- Managing the biometric system to tally student concert attendance.
**Operational support for the core activities of the Department**:
Taking minutes during meetings;- Organising receptions within the Department and liaising with service providers;- Assisting with updating and maintaining the departmental website;- Assisting with travel and accommodation arrangements for staff.
**Algemene kantoorbestuur**:

**Akademiese steundiens**:

- en toepaslike eksamenroosters;- Invordering, invoer en kontrolering van vraestelinligting en punte;- Organisering van interne en eksterne eksaminatore en moderators;- Administrasie van departementele beurse en kompetisies;- Bestuur van biometriese stelsel vir kontrolering van studente se konsertbywonings.
**Operasionele steun vir die uitvoering van die kernaktiwiteite van die Departement**:
Neem van notules tydens vergaderings;- Reël onthale / funksies binne die Departement en skakel met die diensverskaffers;- Hulpverlening met die opdatering en instandhouding van die departementele webwerf;- Hulpverlening met die tref van reis
- en verblyfreëlings van personeel.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes- Grade 12, as well as a relevant higher education qualification;- Administrative work experience;- Experience in a higher education environment;- Proven computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English;- Strong interpersonal skills;- Proven organisational skills;- The ability to perform under pressure;-
Graad 12, asook 'n toepaslike hoëronderwyskwalifikasie;- Administratiewe werkservaring;- Ervaring in 'n hoëronderwysomgewing;- Bewese rekenaarvaardigheid in die Microsoft Office-pakket (Word, Excel, PowerPoint en Outlook);- Uitstekende mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;- Sterk interpersoonlike vaardighede;- Bewese organisatoriese vaardighede;- Die vermoë om onder druk te presteer;- Die vermoë om selfstandig te werk en eie inisiatief aan die dag te lê.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling- A higher education qualification in administration;- Knowledge of Stellenbosch University¿s central computer systems (e.g., TeraTerm);- Knowledge of the general functioning and structures of Stellenbosch University;- Basic music knowledge and/or experience in a music milieu;- Communication skills in isiXhosa.'n Hoëronderwyskwalifikasie in administrasie;- Kennis van die Universiteit Stellenbosch se sentrale rekenaarstelsels (bv.
