Duties/Pligte
**Teaching and administration**
- Undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision in the focus areas of the Division, Department and Faculty;- Clinical supervision of undergraduate students on the health services training platform;- Actively involved in the design, development, and implementation of undergraduate teaching modules in neurology, or medical and surgical rehabilitation and related
- Teaching and learning administration, including class coordination, module coordination, teaching and case lead / facilitation.

**Research**
- Engaging in impactful research activities leading to personal development goals (e.g., PhD, post-doctoral research) and research outputs in line with designated targets

set by the Division;Engaging in divisional and departmental research initiatives (e.g., book chapters, inter-divisional research projects, co-supervision);
- Actively developing institutional, national and international networks.

**Clinical service delivery**
- Directing clinical service rendering at healthcare facilities where an agreement exists with the Physiotherapy Division (e.g., Bishop Lavis Rehabilitation Centre, Tygerberg

Hospital);
- Providing ethically and culturally sound clinical services as well as accurate record keeping in line with the healthcare facility's standards and practices.

**Onderrig en administrasie**
- Voorgraadse (en nagraadse) onderrig in neurologie, of mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie en verwante vakgebiede;- Voorgraadse en nagraadse navorsingsleiding in die fokusareas van die Afdeling, Departement en Fakulteit;-
- Kliniese toesig oor voorgraadse studente op die gesondheidsdienste
- opleidingsplatform;-
- Aktiewe betrokkenheid by die ontwerp, ontwikkeling en implementering van voorgraadse onderrigmodules in neurologie, of mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie en verwante vakgebiede as deel van programvernuwingsaktiwiteite;- Onderrig
- en leeradministrasie, met inbegrip van klaskoördinering, modulekoördinering, onderrig, geval-leier / fasiliteerder.

**Navorsing**:

- Deelname aan impakvolle navorsingsaktiwiteite wat lei tot persoonlike ontwikkelingsdoelwitte (bv., PhD, na-doktorale navorsing) en navorsingsuitsette in ooreenstemming met aanwysingsdoelwitte wat deur die Afdeling gestel is;
- Betrokkenheid by Afdelings
- en departementele navorsingsinisiatiewe (bv., boekhoofstukke, inter-afdeling navorsingsprojekte, mede-toesighouding); Aktiewe ontwikkeling van institusionele, nasionale en internasionale netwerke.

**Kliniese dienslewering**:

- Direkte kliniese dienslewering by gesondheidsorgfasiliteite waar 'n ooreenkoms met die Afdeling Fisioterapie bestaan (bv., Bishop Lavis Rehabilitasiesentrum, Tygerberg Hospitaal);
- Voorsien etiese en kultureel gesonde kliniese dienste, sowel as akkurate rekordhouding in ooreenstemming met die gesondheidsorgfasiliteit se standaarde en praktyke.

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
**Senior Lecturer**:

- PhD;- Evidence of any research outputs;- At least four year's higher education teaching experience in neurology and / or medical and surgical rehabilitation;- Experience in postgraduate research supervision on at least master's ;- At least two year's post-community service clinical experience, predominately in the teaching areas;
- Registered / registrable with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a physiotherapist.

**Lecturer**:
Master's degree-
- Experience in teaching (as educator, tutor, or assistant) in neurology or medical and surgical rehabilitation or related areas;-
- Any clinical supervision experience in physiotherapy;-
- At least two year's post-community service clinical experience predominately in the field;- Registered/ registrable with the Health Professional Council of South Africa as a Physiotherapist.

**Senior Lektor**
- PhD;- Bewys van enige navorsingsuitsette;-
- Minstens vier jaar se onderwyservaring in hoëronderwys in neurologie en / of mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie;-
- Ervaring in nagraadse navorsingsleiding op minstens meestersvlak;-
- Kliniese toesigervaring in die vakgebied van neurologie of mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie of verwante vakgebiede;- Minstens twee jaar se na-gemeenskapsdiens kliniese ervaring, hoofsaaklik in die onderrigareas;
- Geregistreer/registreerbaar by die Gesondheidsberoepsraad van Suid-Afrika as 'n fisioterapeut.

**Lektor**
- Meestersgraad;- Onderrigervaring (as n opvoeder, tutor, of assistent) in neurologie / mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie, of verwante vakgebiede;-
- Enige kliniese toesighoudingservaring in fisioterapie;-
- Minstens twee jaar na-gemeenskapsdiens kliniese ondervinding hoofsaaklik in die vakgebied van neurologie / mediese en chirurgiese rehabilitasie of verwante vakgebiede;- Geregistreer/registreerbaar by die Gesondheidsberoepsraad van Suid-Afrika as 'n Fisioterapeut.
