URBAN MOBILITY Manager Public Transport Systems

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, preferable in Information

Systems and or related Engineering Qualification
- A minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience
- Managing a complex public transport system and project of

technical nature
- Excellent communication, report-writing and financial

management skills
- Knowledge of local government legislation, policies and

procedures
- A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Lead, manage and oversee the activities and operations of Public

Transport Systems Branch including Automated Fare Collection

(AFC), Advanced Public Transport Management System (APTMS)

and Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV)
- Strategically manage the architectural design process, installation,

commissioning and servicing of the public transport systems
- Effectively manage and oversee implementation of Public Transport

Systems projects, programmes and contracts ensuring compliance

with relevant legislation
- Oversee, manage and implement the Annual Public Transport Tariff

adjustments, MyConnect card product sales, new innovations and

licensing agreements
- Oversee and monitor public transport systems maintenance and

repairs
- Stakeholder relationship management
- Engaging with a variety of internal and external

stakeholders at executive and senior level management
- Managing personnel performance, productivity and discipline
- Undertaking management reporting.
