**Requirements**:

- A relevant professional qualification (B degree/First degree)
- At least 5 - 8 years relevant experience
- A proven track record of experience in ensuring a productive

and engaged workforce is in place to enable service delivery
objectives
- A proven track record of offering strategic guidance and advice

on people related matters in order to steer departments into
future ways of working
- A proven track record of experience in developing and

executing People strategies aligned to business needs
- Public Service Sector experience will be an advantage
- A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Developing and implementing the department’s People

strategy, function, and activities aligned to business needs
- Developing a strategic workforce plan for the department

aligned to strategic plans in order to ensure current and
future resource needs are met
- Providing advice and guidance in the recruitment

process and talent sourcing; ensuring recruitment targets
are met, the successful quality of recruitment, and that
appropriate on-boarding initiatives are carried out in the
department
- Developing and implementing learning and development

interventions and programmes in the department, ensuring
that they are aligned to the Workforce Skills Plan and meet
the department’s needs
- Implementing organisational development initiatives and

interventions for the department
- Implementing change leadership and management initiatives

and interventions in the department
- Implementing transformation plans, initiatives, and

programmes for the department
- Providing leadership in the management of employee relations

in order to create a harmonious working environment
