**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**
- To train Painting operators on the requirements of products
- Train and evaluate painting operators during qualification and at the beginning of the production phase
- Perform inspections before, during and after painting

**MAIN RESPONSABILITIES**
- Be proactive in the EHS risk situation
- To use the safety equipment and rules defined
- Evaluate new paint operators and to define the necessary development plan to have the skills at right level
- Participate to paint operators review and to evaluate their autonomy level
- Reinforce the painting knowledge of operators identified during the paint operators review
- Perform destructive and Non-destructive tests and visual tests.
- Management of painting qualifications
- Perform training theoretical and practical (general or individual) in case of painting quality level decreasing
- To realize painting mock-up requested by painting expertise
- To work on manufacturing painting activities, according to the specification and standard in place
- Participate on the working area studies/audits
- To be a proactive participant to transversal action in continuous improvement.
- Capture and analyze return of experience to propose improvements.
- Process as P-FMEA, Continuous improvement (APSYS, SWIP, 5S), Team 5 min meeting

**MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES**

**Educational Requirements**_**Mandatory**:

- Grade 12 / Matric
- Qualified Artisan as spray painter (Red Seal)

**Desirable**:

- Painting Inspector Level 1
- N3 engineering qualification or higher

**Experience
**Mandatory**:

- 10 years minimum as a painting operator in production
- Technical and behavioural skills / competencies
- Knowledge of painting processes
- Knowledge of painting inspection methods
- Knowledge of painting imperfections

**Desirable**:

- Painting in railway industry
