Job Description:
IT Technician (3+ years experience)

We are seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team.

As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional desktop and server support, managing networking infrastructure, and showcasing excellent administrative skills.

Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, servers and printers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels on various systems.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement IT solutions and provide technical support.
• Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity and security.
• Assist in IT asset management and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Implement security measures to protect organizations from cyber threats.
• Provide excellent client service and timely resolution to ITrelated queries.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
• Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies to suggest improvements and optimizations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in desktop and server support, hardware troubleshooting, and software installations.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and DNS.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with nontechnical staff and provide clear instructions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are a plus.

Salary:
Up to R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Boksburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
