- To attend to day to day management of the corporate claims product portfolio and to provide supervisory oversight over a defined area.**Requirements**:
- Matric
- Minimum Higher Certificate in Insurance
- Computer Literacy (MS Word, Outlook and Excel)
- Comfortable with Insurance Systems (Kindle knowledge preferable but not essential)
- RE exams for representatives
- Management Courses
- Completed RE Exam
- Registered FAIS Representative
- Minimum Higher Certificate in Insurance
- At least 10 years of commercial and corporate claims experience in an insurer environment
- At least 5 years Claims Managerial experience
- Sound Commercial, Corporate and Assets Insurance Technical experience with a proven track record
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Provide a daily operational function for the Team which shall include among others
- Generate and use reports off the claims system to ensure effective management of the Team
- Monthly operational reporting to the Corporate Head and Portfolio and Reinsurance accounting teams
- Provide technical advice and training to the area where required;
- Managing complaints and disputes from insured parties/third parties/other stakeholders;
- Regular engagement with claim technician to identify and address performance and general efficiency issues within the Team;
- Continually manage, review and measure team activities against targets and SLA’s
- Supervision of the Management of Aggregate Funds
- Manage preferred list of service providers and monitor service levels
- Enable and track system enhancements
- Building relationships with clients and service providers
- Make claim decisions within claims mandate
- Second signatory authorization on payments
- Ensure Team Leaders have attended to their daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities
- Managing, mentoring and instructing staff regarding claims handling and processing
- Ensuring compliance with company standards/regulations
- Ensure that all staff are up to date with product knowledge, systems, regulations and legislation
- Attend to high quantum/complex/contentious claims
- Provide Clients/ Brokers with the highest standard of service
- Accurate record keeping
- Proper time keeping and task prioritization/ management
- Rendering of assistance from time to time with adhoc tasks
