- To manage risk and deliver team results through a team of ‘Valuation’ specialists enabling long term sustainable returns for Nedbank.**Responsibilities**:
**VALUATIONS**
- Mitigate risk by vetting valuations making sure that proper methodology is followed and in line with the mandate structure.
- Valuations of properties include expert knowledge and understanding of residential, commercial, industrial and retail properties and the construction and development of such properties.
- Ensure continuous improvement in service delivery to all stakeholders by reviewing and revising valuation policy and workflow process.
- Support external service providers by making sure Service Level Agreements training and performance feedback are provided.
- **VALUATIONS AND PM TEAM**:

- Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements, ensuring a clear vision, agreeing on goals and objectives, providing regular feedback on performance, recognising and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.
- Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.
- Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future training and development needs.

**People Specification**

**BUSINESS OBJECTIVES**
- Maintain prudent risk assessment and quality standards within the business unit by assessing the risk embedded within the property environment and the deal.
- Monitoring and manage team attendance and quality input to credit forums and addressing any queries that arise in the forum.
- Build relationships with all internal stakeholders by attending and providing input to various meetings and workshops (e.g. quarterly Cluster Credit Committee (CCC) meetings, Credit Risk And Asset Management (CRAM) meetings, quarterly Credit Risk appetite meeting with regions, Sustainability workshops and others, as required.
- Improve prudent risk assessment and maintain quality standards within the business unit by assessing the risk embedded within the property environment and the deal.
- Investigate and communicate opportunities for new business by undertaking regular business reviews.
- Improve service delivery and workflow methodology efficiencies within Nedbank by evaluating the current status quo.
- Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimisation improvement through team engagement.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification- Property Studies Degree (Property Valuations)- Essential Certifications- Essential Certifications- **Registered Professional Valuer**, Registered Associate Valuer with SACPVP, RICS
