**about us**:

- Rand Merchant Bank (“RMB”), a division of the FirstRand Group, is a leading Corporate and Investment Bank. Corporate Client Group is a business unit that is responsible and accountable for corporate clients within RMB. It is one of the three client groups: Institutions, Sponsors and Corporates. Corporate Client Group has seven (7) sectors grouped as: (1) Tech/ Media/Telcom; (2) Auto /Logistics/Industrials; (3) Retail; (4) Consumer; (5) Resources; (6) State Owned Companies and (7) Healthcare/Hospitality/Services. There are numerous regional focus areas that are part of the CCG: Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Asia, New York, London, and Broader Africa. We are responsible and accountable for: -bringing the whole bank’s offering/solutions to clients (one-RMB) -overseeing and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver superior solutions/products, insights, and ideas to clients -deep sectoral expertise and broader financial product knowledge -idea and solution origination across multiple products -client growth, retention, and penetration -sector performance and profitability across products/ solutions -client satisfaction and engagement The sectors within CCG are led by Sector Heads. Other roles within the client group include: -Sector Banker: Accountable and responsible for origination of flow activity within the bank -Lead Banker: End-to-end accountability across event and flow (for client) outcomes including P& L for specific clients -Transactors: Responsible for solutions innovation, development, and implementation Flow is defined broadly as any banking activity that occurs on a more frequent basis and often requires quick turnaround. Flow origination activity includes: -Foreign currency, exchange control services -Global security services: prime broking, clearing, trustee and custody services -Transactional banking (primary banker): Account opening, Cash Management, Online Banking, Merchant Services, Card Acquiring (and similar); Wesbank: Fleet financing -General Banking Facilities -Trade and supply chain finance -Liabilities, investment and insure activities Event is defined broadly as strategic client banking activities which ordinarily involve structuring in the solution and are infrequent or “once-off” in nature. Event origination activity typically includes: -Advisory Services including Mergers and Acquisitions -Structured and/ or large Lending transactions -Markets structuring -Fixed Income and Foreign Currency Hedging -Transactional Banking RFPs -Invest and Insure**purpose**:

- A Sector Banker is responsible and accountable for originating Flow business within a sector. This activity can be for new prospective clients and for existing clients through origination and cross sell banking solutions. They are responsible for originating flow business within the allocated clients as part of a cross-functional team. Experience in the TMT space in South Africa and Broader Africa and a good understanding of the space as well as activity levels will greatly assist in delivering value additive solutions to clients. A cross functional team: -Includes relevant sector heads, sponsors, sector, and product bankers working with the lead banker to drive desired client outcomes -The members of the cross-functional team co-sign the account plan with the Sector Heads / lead bankers, and are held accountable for the execution of the client plan -Each member of the cross-functional team is responsible for originating ideas for their product domain, and the identification of broad ancillary product opportunities where relevant product domain, and the identification of ancillary product opportunities where relevant Additionally, a Sector Banker: 1.Participates in client processes such as account planning and deal escalations point for Flow activity 2.They are a primary point of contact for the client, and form the basis for all internal contacts to better align and manage Flow activity 3.They work closely with the Sector Heads and/or Lead Bankers to strategize on Flow activity on top/sector clients**experience and qualifications**:

- Required Qualification: A relevant bachelor’s and postgraduate degree.
- Experience : Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing client relationships or in a flow product area with similar scope and size of organisation
- At least 3 of the years include a focus on Broader Africa and some TMT client or flow product experience**additional requirements**:
