**Compliance Specialist/Auditor**

KOMPLIANCE is the leading independent compliance auditing group in Southern Africa providing environmental, occupational health & safety, cybersecurity, data privacy, and corporate governance compliance audit services including internal, external, supplier, and verification audits.

**Compliance Specialist/Auditor Job Responsibilities**: The position involves the following job responsibilities:

- Auditing, assessing, or consulting on an effective regulatory or management system compliance program for clients that’s in line with both laws, policies, and industry best practices.
- Audit and review client company policies.
- Provide assessment or audit reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing management information.
- Complete audit work papers, memoranda, and reports by documenting audit findings.
- Recommend to the client management team the current company’s compliance with laws and regulations, management systems, and policies through reports.
- Meet cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions.
- Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities including courses, and professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organisations.
- Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; and identifying work process improvements at client sites.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; and recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.

**Work Hours and Benefits**: The official office hours are 09h00 to 15h00 Mondays to Thursdays but compliance specialists are frequently required to work outside these hours, either virtually from home/office or at client sites depending on client requirements.

This is a full-time hybrid position that may require frequent travel to client sites throughout Southern Africa.

Kompliance offers excellent working conditions with a four-day workweek, and a cost-to-company package of between R400k and R800k depending on experience. We also offer health insurance, a retirement fund, and twenty days of annual leave.

**Compliance Specialist/Auditor Qualifications and Skills**:
A bachelor's degree in law, business, or auditing is essential. At least two years of experience in a similar position is preferable. A professional qualification or current progress toward obtaining a professional qualification will increase the applicant's chances of success. Some or all of the following will also be beneficial:

- Enterprise risk assessments
- Comfortable using ESG or GRC software and data analysis
- A cool head during stressful situations
- Sometimes working alone
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- A keen eye for detail

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in law, business, auditing, or a relevant industry
- At least two years of work experience is preferred
- Completion of relevant industry-specific certification
- Auditing experience in any of the following: regulatory compliance, corporate governance, data privacy, cybersecurity, occupational health and safety, environmental compliance, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001

**Salary**: R400 000,00 - R900 000,00 per year
