As part of the Payments Partnerships Centre of Excellence, the role holder will provide oversight guidance, advice and support to the impacted business product teams in relation to all Card Scheme and Payment System Operator (PSO) performance and compliance related activity.

Working in close collaboration with BU product areas, the role holder will analyse and size the likely risk or opportunity impact in relation to the established operational relationships with the Card Schemes and PSO’s as well as supporting the ongoing review of all update bulletin notifications and new compliance requirements to inform the decision-making process whether to make the change.

**Job Description**:
Education and Experience Required- B Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification or higher- At least three (3) years Payments expertise (i.e., worked in Card, T&D or Payments Environments)- Solid experience of working across external organizations in the payments industry- Retail / Banking experience is a distinct advantage.

Accountability: Relationship Management and Industry representation- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior levels and representatives of the Schemes Visa, MasterCard, BankServ, UPI, Amex and Diners- Maintain a database of stakeholders, both internal and external- Establish stakeholder needs and expectations to develop effective stakeholder engagement plans- Regular performance engagements, reporting and assessments with product teams and Card Scheme/PSO counterparts.- Active engagement on the product house/functions Mancos- Facilitate sessions between Product, Group Information Services (GIS) teams, Group Information Technology (IT), Group Finance teams, Product Control and Risk Management (IRM) teams to maintain and track the integrity of payment and settlement transactions across the value chain.- Evaluation of the impact of all new bulletin and compliance requirements to inform the BU product team’s decision regarding the change.- Where additional time is required to comply, compilation of the motivation for a waiver to extend the timeframe to achieve compliance.- Ensure that existing Bulletins are rolled over where applicable and compliance requirements are met as per the future due date assigned.- Evaluation of the impact of all new Data Integrity Edits and compliance requirements to inform the BU product team’s decision regarding the change.- Evaluate the impact of the Bi-Annual Schemes Mandatory Release, document the applicable release notes, and engage the Senior Technical Specialist Payment Partnerships where a technical in-depth assessment is required.- Registration of new projects with the Schemes- Submission of testing requirements- Chair the BIN Management Forum, evaluate change impact, and ensure compliance.- Submission of new BIN Applications on behalf of the product houses- Manage BIN releases with the Schemes- Implementation of new or amended Scheme Rules to product houses- Manage and resolve all Schemes incidents and queries raised- Facilitate sessions between Product, Group Information Services (GIS) teams, Group Information Technology (IT), Group Finance teams, Product Control and Risk Management (IRM) teams to maintain and track the integrity of payment and settlement transactions across the value chain.

Accountability: Access to PSO Platforms- Approval of Access to Schemes Tools- Visa Online- Mastercard Connect- UPI- Review membership annually- Distribution of all available Schemes training to the product houses and provide support with the registration process.- Distribution of all _Schemes Mandatory Release training sessions and applicable content._

Accountability: Fraud, Risk & Compliance- Reporting on identified risks associated with the card schemes ecosystem and associated performance against scheme compliance metrics.- PCIDSS reporting to the Schemes- VDMP reporting to the Schemes- Rule Violation monitoring and reporting- Brand Violation monitoring and reporting- HRM monitoring of registration and reporting- Ensure that our BU product teams have line of sight to all applicable compliance programs and waivers in force and that the impacted product areas are clear on any potential non-compliance triggers.- Regular performance engagements, reporting and assessments.- Recommend changes to the way of work in accordance with best practice in the Card industry.- Contribute to the overall Risk management strategy across the Card payment value chain.- Review all Schemes Operations Processes and Procedures annually to ensure compliance- Active engagement with the product houses and service provider during annu
