**About the position**

The group is developing its global activities, and the growing maintenance team is looking for a hands-on Electrical, Instrument, and Control Technician, with a strong bias towards PLC Programming (Rockwell / Siemens). As a valuable team member, you will support the maintenance department, ensure mínimal breakdowns, and advise on preventative measures.

**Responsibilities**

Execute repairs to all instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment to secure continuity of production;

Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures;

Identify faults in malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, locate the cause of a breakdown, and correct the problem;

Inspect instrumentation, control and electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify defects and the needed adjustments and/or repair to ensure continuous and safe operation;

Test all systems and continuity of circuits in electrical/instrumentation/control wiring, equipment, and fixtures, to ensure safety;

Maintain machinery and equipment in the plant and keep them in good condition;

Ensure safety standards;

Execute preventive activities for machinery and equipment;

Identify and maximize opportunities to save costs, including utility usage;

PLC (preferably Rockwell) logic program development and implementation;

Scada animation and development;

Develop new control and monitoring systems, conforming to ISA;

Develop and document new PLC systems from concept to execution;

Troubleshoot PLC and SCADA control system faults;

Maintain configuration control of current PLC source code.

**Requirements**:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance within a production plant

Minimum N5, preferable National diploma/Btech in electrical engineering (instrument and controls)

Trade papers in the electrical field;

Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment;

Awareness of the OSH Act and local electrical codes and regulations;

An open-minded and positive personality;

Ability to work independently and in a group;

Strong verbal and written communication skills;

A motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions;

Ability to read schematics, drawings, and other technical documents;

Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as climbing ladders, crawling, etc.

Availability for standby or work for extended hours.
