**Development Coordinator**

Our Client Bohwa Bja Rena Community Development Trust is looking for an experienced and dynamic Development Coordinator. The Development Coordinator will bring an existing foundation of development experience to the Bohwa Bja Rena Community Development Trust operational team and provide essential support to the Operations Manager to ensure that BBR CDT is able to deliver on its objectives, i.e. strategic social investment, resource mobilization, lobbying and advocacy.
- The Development Coordinator must be able to integrate with the team, assess development needs, and interact with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Reporting to the Operations Manager the DC will ensure that the BBR CDT team is well supported with information and material required to manage critical stakeholder relationships.
- Success in this role requires genuine passion for community development and social Upliftment, exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Organise community engagement campaigns, workshops, and outreach activities to disseminate information and encourage community participation.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise community awareness about critical social issues and program objectives.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, meetings, workshops, and forums to encourage dialogue, collaboration, and sharing of ideas and perspectives.
- Collect relevant data and information to monitor program effectiveness, compile progress reports, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the coordination, implementation and supervision of BBR CDT strategic social investment interventions.
- Support the Operations Manager in designing and executing strategic social investment work plans to meet the goals and objectives of initiatives undertaken and help deliver on BBR CDT mandate.
- Support the development of BBR CDT strategic social investment initiatives in line with BBR CDT strategic objective.
- Compile/ review social investment proposals from communities and strategic partners including their financial impact analysis
- Develop Project and Resource Plans in consultation with the Operations Manager on all strategic social investment initiatives as per approved proposals.
- Support the initiation, organization and execution of strategic resource mobilization efforts for BBR CDT.
- Regularly engage with strategic partners and keep them updated on all key developments.
- Implement strategies for encouraging new strategic partners to partner with BBR CDT for sustainable community development efforts.
- In consultation with the Operations Manager, coordinate, assign and manage resources as per the requirements of the initiative.
- Coordinate activities with all internal and external stakeholders including benefit communities in the Twickenham benefit area
- For every social investment initiative, conduct orientation sessions for all Stakeholders.
- Monitoring visits to field and provide technical support to the implementation team
- Develop linkages with other key relevant players working in the field.
- Submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to Operations Manager.
- Proactively identify and report on social issues and grievances on the ground and facilitate acceptable resolutions.
- Keep the Operations Manager informed of on-going progress with project activities in line with the project plans.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager, the Administrator, and the Implementation Partners in order to manage the budget for all initiatives.
- Present relevant financial data to the Operations Manager within the agreed timeframe.
- Oversee and protect organizational assets and ensure efficient and effective use of resources
- Support marketing activities for active initiatives in the benefit areas
- Ensure that all targets are achieved timeously and within BBR CDT’s acceptable quality standards.
- Support all operations related to activities at benefit areas.
- In consultation with the Operations Manager, ensure that project legal documents are completed, signed and filed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
- Perform administration duties to support BBR CDT operations

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Community Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in community engagement, mobilisation, and development within an NGO or social programs environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
