We are searching for a talented and professional marketing and communication coordinator to join our dynamic FastPrEP marketing and communication team. Your duties will be diverse and multi-faceted, therefore excellent professional skills are vital for this role. If you are looking to join a dynamic, multitalented, innovative and energetic programme within the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation, this role is for you

The main purpose for this role will be to help create promotional materials, contribute to the development of project’s digital assets, organise meetings and presentations, and interact with our partners and effectively deliver the project’s brand message to the public and the media. You must possess superb written and verbal communication skills, and have in-depth knowledge of marketing trends.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- National Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communication Public Relations Qualification or related
- At least 1-2 years’ experience as a marketing coordinator in marketing and branding environment
- At least 1-year experience in content management, creative writing, advertising concepts and media negotiations.

**Advantageous**:

- Graphic Design experience
- Must have excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing
- Photography skills
- Knowledge of content creation skills

**Responsibilities**:

- Support in planning, implementing and monitoring the marketing and communication strategy for the FastPrEP project.
- Coordinate volunteers, support staff, vendors and more to support promotional events
- Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety
- Write a variety of different content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, and brochures and press releases
- Manage social media assets using HootSuite, TweetDeck, and mobile apps
- Assist in monitoring online marketing campaigns for the project, effectively expanding audiences, and increasing awareness of the brand
- Implement marketing plans that include print, broadcast and online content
- Create branded advertising campaigns, and support the marketing and communication function by coordinating and collating content.
- Setup tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities
- Manage contractors and other promotional vendors
- Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for clients and management
- Direct marketing and Activation
