- To manage the processes, teams and resources accountable for in-bound and out-bound logistics in a warehouse, contributing to operational effectiveness, client/customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Is responsible for the site safety program and ensures that the environment supports the safety of all employees.- Key performance areas:
- Define standard operating procedures and implement and manage end-to-end processes.- Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives.- Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and adjust where required.- Formulate a plan which includes milestones and priorities to deliver on operational objectives. (3 - 12 months)- Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure and optimal working environment.- Create an engaging, enabling, and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organizational values.- Manage, monitor and report on budget variances in order to maximise financial performance.- Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure customer service excellence.- Manage all warehouse assets.- Manage stock usage decisions and the Stock Put-Away process.- Manage the Reverse Logistics process.- Manage the Stock Control process.- Manage the Stock Picking process.- Manage the Stock Receiving process.- Review and manage the stock load plan.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- Qualification:
- Honours Degree/similar qualification (NQF Level 8)- Skills and Experience:
- Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years management experience**What Qualification**
