**Experience and skills**:
A proven track record of leadership and management in a primary school with experience as a deputy principal, departmental head or SMT member
Relevant teaching experience to qualify for deputy post level
Proven experience in managing diversity and inclusion in education
Inspirational and innovative approach to teaching and learning including the use of project based learning and integration across the curriculum
Proven experience in using technology to enhance teaching, learning and assessment
Lead the staff pastoral care portfolio including experience in mentoring and managing staff, leading professional development programmes, displaying excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proven track record of ongoing personal and professional development
Proven administration and organisational experience
Relevant knowledge and experience of internal and external systems, including but not limited to staffroom, QMS, SPMDS, School budget, school governance and timetables
Knowledge of school policies, procedures and educational laws pertaining to the effective running of the school
Manage the learner pastoral care portfolio including meeting with parents, engaging learners and having positive restorative discipline strategies
Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
Proficiency in at least two South African languages would be advantageous
