We currently have a great opportunity available for a Solar PV System Lecturer to join our team in Cape Town. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to further their career in the solar industry.

**Solar PV System Lecturer Responsibilities**:

- Maintain accurate and timely attendance (daily and weekly).
- Review and administer pre
- and post-testing in all appropriate courses.
- Notify the registrar of changes in roster and conduct class according to scheduled times.
- Adhere to and ensure students adhere to all college policies, rules, and regulations.
- Abide by all laws and rules pertaining to health and safety.
- Ensure that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom.
- Prepare and update adult learning materials/outlines.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Confidentiality is extremely imperative.
- Must adhere to the training environment site and setting regulations, the correct use of PPE and safety during practical exercises.

Must be able to teach:

- PV Markets and Applications
- Safety and Electricity Basics
- Solar Energy Fundamentals
- PV Module Fundamentals, PV System
- Sizing Principles, Electrical Design and Mechanical Design
- PV System Components
- Performance Analysis, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

**Solar PV System Lecturer** **Requirements**:

- Knowledge of the solar energy industry and key safety aspects thereof.
- Comprehensive understanding of the local or regional codes and standards.
- Local equivalent solar certifications preferred and any qualifications in the electrical field will be a plus.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Ability to present in front of an audience for up to eight hours a day, several days in a row.
- Experience with MS PowerPoint and MS Office Suite.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Montague Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
