**Bid Administrator**
**Overall Job Function**:
Reporting to the Bid Manager and Contracts Manager, the Bid Administrator will be responsible for all the groundwork conducted in the course of compiling winning bids. This includes ensuring the quality of all written documentation and presentations as well as warranting that all bid documents are clear, concise and persuasive.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Consistent reporting to the Bid Manager / Contracts Manager on the status of all work in progress.
- Alert the Bid Manager / Contracts Manager on all certification required by the Group when identified as a short coming.
- Completion of tender BOQs; pricing schedules and all other technical requirements.
- Obtaining certifications relevant for all services in the group portfolio.
- Monioting the tendering process and receiving timeous feedback from site and external partners.
- Compiling tender documents to suit all tender requirements.
- Liaising with and following up with Sub contractors and JV’s partners when working on a collaboration tender submission.
- Requesting adjudication reports and researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyzing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company's productivity rates)
- Attending briefing sessions and/or visit site of works to gather information
**Skills and Requirements.**
- 3 - 5 years’ bid / tender administration experience in various economic sectors.
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering; Quantity Surveying and / or Building Science.
- Project pricing and administration experience essential.
- Ability to review a tender, decide on required input, engage with relevant parties and compile the technical and commercial response for the required Scope of Work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under very mínimal supervision and with tight deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure and flexible to work extra hours
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Randburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- bid administration: 5 years (preferred)
