Roles and Responsibilities

Entrance / Reception Area and OfficesRemoves all rubbish from bins and empties all shredders daily.Vacuum carpets and mop floors twice a week.Dusts pictures, window sills, and other flat surfaces.Dust all horizontal surfaces of desks, chairs, tables and other furnitureDamp wipes all desks, telephones, printers, and computers twice a week.Cleans glass doors daily and windows inside and out (once a month), and spot cleans all glass surfaces.Remove cobwebs from front entry and immediate surrounding areasRemoves fingerprints/marks from around light switches and door frames.Dust all blinds and light fittings on a weekly basis.Spot clean all walls and painted surfaces.Collect all rubbish, papers, bottles etc. from the front entrance and between buildingsEnsure that all areas are clean and arranged in a tidy fashion prior to leaving.

RestroomsClean and sanitise (with disinfectant) all toilets and urinals on a daily basis.Clean, sanitise and polish all basins, and remove splash marks from walls and basins on a daily basis.Mop restroom floors with disinfectant on a daily basis.Clean and polish mirrors on a daily basis.Empty rubbish bins and sanitary bins, and replace bin-liners as required.Wipe hand towel cabinet covers/hand dryers and door handlesReplenish supplies in restrooms, Stock toilet tissue, hand towels and hand soapDust partitions, tops of mirrors and framesWash all hand-towels on a weekly basis.

KitchensRemove rubbish and replace bin-liners.Mop all floors with disinfectant.Wipe down all cupboards, window sills and flat servicesContinuously wash all dishes, cups, cutlery, plates etc.Keep all kitchen appliances clean.Clean and sanitise the sink, fixtures, counters, and tables.Refill paper products and soap dispenser as neededReplenish kitchen supplies (includes restocking the fridge)

Stairs and Common AreasRemove rubbish from all areas.Polish railing and spot clean all areas.Sweep and mop (with disinfectant) all floors.

Other DutiesCourteously provides tea, coffee and/or other beverages to the Managers and visitors when requested to do so.Help set up for Functions when required.Keeps all beverage and cleaning stock maintained.Keeps the cleaning material store room clean and tidy at all times.

Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental ResponsibilitiesReport any deviations that could lead to an accidentParticipate in Safety Training to improve safety standardsReport incidents and accidents before the end of a shiftAdhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedureLook after your own safety and that of other employeesEnsure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services

JOB REQUIREMENTSNo formal training is required, but a minimum of 2 years’ prior experience is essentialMust be a hard workerMust be able to communicate in English or Afrikaans
