Develop/ lead the implementation of sourcing for all items and/or services within an assigned category to achieve annual productivity improvement while maintaining and improving service levels.

Handle enquiries and process resulting orders, including creating material lists and order relevant material from local and foreign suppliers, in such a way as to ensure complete customer satisfaction and good profitability.

**Key areas of Responsibilities and Essential duties**:
Internal administration and technical duties i.e. Taking phone enquiries and compiling quotations.

In time tracking of tenders, quotes and orders.

Tracking of deliveries and back orders.

Recording orders accurately on Pastel and generating the relative purchase orders to sub-suppliers.

Quotes, Tenders and Contracts Support.

Liaising with local suppliers to ensure best possible price structures, discounts and support.

Purchasing and expediting of orders.

Client Service.

Compiling and maintaining a comprehensive customer database for sales.

Monitoring of stock and re-order levels.

Drive compliance in adherence to the category strategy and approved preferred supplier list.

Analyse and plan products and/or services in support of assigned area(s) at the best possible total cost. Maintains strong relationships with customers and suppliers for on-going improvements.

Measure and track supplier performance

Work with Receiving, Accounts Payable and other departments as required to resolve issues, reconcile errors and correct the root cause of problems

**At least five years experience at a buying house and experience in export market sales and export documentation. Previous Mining experience would be an advantage.**

**Salary**: From R15,000.00 per month
