What will you do?

The role of IT Technical Analyst - Sanlam Loyalty and Rewards (L&R) is within the IT Operations Team, will need to play a significant role in documenting and finalising IT requirements for Enhancements as well as updating technical requirements on existing solutions, whilst driving innovative way of operational improvement. This will include working with business owners in order to understand, unpack, design, articulate and document business objectives in the form of technical requirements. The IT Technical Analyst will need to play the role of Developer support for operations and any enhancement changes.
Roles and Responsibilities

Work with business owners in order to understand, unpack, design, articulate and document business objectives in the form of business requirements.Translate requirements to granular user stories and capturing and prioritizing user stories. Form part of the delivery team to ensure successful delivery of the technical requirements.
From an operational context the IT Technical Analyst would need to act as a support for Business (Bus Ops, Fin Ops, Marketing, Prod & Sales), and will need to be able to do Standby on a rotational basis
From an enhancement context the IT Technical Analyst would need to act as a support for the Developer and Tester to ensure that they have a sound understanding
From a Project context the IT Technical Analyst would need provide input into the Business Requirements Specifications to ensure that the IT operational requirements are met and understood, as well as provide BRT sign-off on the project confirm the solution is working as expected.
Technical requirements documentation for the purposes of enhancements and operational initiatives
Help create standard operating procedures and play an instrumental role in operationalising the procedures
Effective communication to supporting teams and stakeholders, with a common objective of driving business and technical requirements
Play the role of 2IC for IT Operations Manager when needed
Ability to integrate with a team of technical developers and testers
Ability to work with external teams and partners to ensure effective delivery
Ability to manage delivery within agreed timelines, with a self-starter mindset

Qualification and Experience

Diploma in Business Analysis/ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
3 - 5 years proven experience in a analyst role.
Knowledge and Skills

Preferable working experience with Jira for work allocation.
Previous experience in the role of business or systems analyst
Sound grasp of documentation
Customer service experience with the ability to understand service impacts on the Customer, and use this insight to drive out solutions
