**Position Description**:
**Responsibilities**:
Material Planning:

- Forecasting material needs based on production schedules and customer demands.
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely and adequate supply of raw materials.

Inventory Management:

- Monitoring and managing inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Maintaining efficient inventory control measures to optimize storage space and reduce costs.

Order Processing:

- Coordinating with various departments to process and fulfill customer orders.
- Ensuring accurate and timely order picking, packing, and shipping.

Transportation Coordination:

- Arranging transportation for incoming materials and outgoing finished goods.
- Optimizing transportation routes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Collaborating with production, procurement, and distribution teams to streamline processes.
- Communicating with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure a seamless supply chain.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and material receipts.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Problem Resolution:

- Identifying and resolving logistics and supply chain issues promptly.
- Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.

Continuous Improvement:

- Analyzing logistics processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implementing efficiency measures and cost-saving initiatives.

Technology Utilization:

- Utilizing logistics and supply chain management software to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize processes.
- Staying informed about industry trends and technological advancements to enhance logistics operations.

Risk Management:

- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing contingency plans.
- Mitigating risks related to transportation delays, supplier issues, and other logístical challenges.

**Required Experience**:

- _Industry Knowledge: _Familiarity with the manufacturing industry, understanding production processes, and knowledge of the specific challenges and requirements associated with manufacturing logistics.
- _Regulatory Compliance:_ Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to shipping, transportation, and import/export regulations.
- _Logistics Operations:_ Proven track record of successfully overseeing logistics operations, implementing process improvements, and managing or supporting a team of logistics professionals.
- _Planning:_ Experience in strategic planning, decision-making, and contributing to the development and execution of logistics strategies aligned with business goals.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a logistics, business, supply chain discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment.

- 8+ years of relevant experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- _Communication Skills:_ Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with various stakeholders, including suppliers, production teams, and distribution partners.
- _Analytical Skills:_ The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize logistics processes.
- _Organizational Skills:_ Effective organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- _Customer Focus:_ For positions involving customer orders, having a customer-focused mindset ensures that shipments are timely, accurate, and meet customer expectations.
- _Negotiation Skills:_ Negotiating with suppliers, carriers, and other partners may be part of the role. Strong negotiation skills can help in securing favorable terms and resolving issues effectively.
- _Problem-Solving Abilities:_ Proven ability to identify and resolve logistics-related issues promptly and effectively.
- _Detail-Oriented:_ The ability to pay close attention to details is crucial for managing inventory, processing orders accurately, and ensuring shipments are error-free.
- _Adaptability:_ The manufacturing environment can be dynamic, with changes in production schedules, market demands, and unforeseen challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is key to navigating these changes effectively.
