The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for the management of all IT Systems and driving the delivery of the IT Infrastructure, Gaming, Hospitality and General Applications.

The IT Systems Manager will also be responsible and have oversight to keep the related IT Systems at acceptable performance levels, available and stable through preventative maintenance, proactive monitoring, upgrading and addressing obsolescence in a manner that is easy, appropriate, reliable and secure in line with business and regulatory requirements.

**Job Description**:

- Manage team of specialist and vendors and ensure optimal availability of key systems.
- Understand business strategies and provide IT insight and guidance to these.
- Work with teams and vendors to provide guidance and roadmaps for all key technologies.
- Monitor the IT Service Desk system for logged incidents and action new incidents within prescribed SLA times;
- Prioritise and resolves incidents, ensuring mínimal disruption to operations;
- Communicate efficiently with management regarding incidents
- Identify, report and remedy potential causes of failure proactively.
- Assist in defining the requirements for security policies;
- Protect information against unauthorized access and use to ensure confidentiality;
- Check the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of information to ensure integrity;
- Plan security enhancements and implementations and implement such plans;
- Evaluate implemented security measures and test the effectiveness of standards and policies;
- Report on security related incidents and identified risks;
- Work closely with all gaming boards for verification after updates / upgrades;
- Install server hardware, software and other IT infrastructure components as required, adhering to Change Control and Release Management procedures.
- Make recommendations in advance to prevent capacity related problems and incidents, allowing for sufficient lead time to plan, procure, test, and implement systems required to mitigate capacity related issues.
- Control that an up-to-date CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is maintained at all times.
- Take ownership of incidents classified as problems in terms of ITIL, follow problem management through to final resolution, including but not limited to incidents escalated to second and third line support.
- Communicate efficiently with management regarding incidents
- Recommend updates for SOP Manuals;

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- 5 Years IT experience in Gaming Industry.
- Working knowledge of Gaming & Hospitality Systems (Bally & Opera) required.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate
- Windows server knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Server/Storage and Cloud Certifications would be advantageous.
- A highly motivated person with good communication skills is required.
- Flexible working hours is an operational requirement.
