**Job Summary**:
Aon South Africa is recruiting Sales Consultants in our Personal Lines division, based at our offices in Roodepoort. The role of a sales consultant is to provide an internal telesales service to clients by means of quoting and selling products to different market segments.
This position complies with our Employment Equity policies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Prepares and processes quotes on the relevant systems and/ or as the need arises.
Provides professional and accurate advice on cover, exclusions, terms and conditions and ensuring clients are informed of any underwriting requirements in terms of the policy.
Negotiates cover and rates with insurers on behalf of clients.
Responsible for generating new business according to set targets.
Ensures that proposals are correctly completed and follows up on outstanding documentation.
Follows up on quotes already produced and not yet accepted by clients.
Ensures that schemes run profitably by adhering closely to the underwriting criteria.
Responsible for producing weekly and monthly operating/ sales reports.
Responsible for engaging in business development and/or contributing directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in Aon South Africa.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Qualifications**
Grade 12 (matric).
A Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
Registration as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
**Knowledge**
Knowledge of the principles and practices within a technical/professional discipline.
Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures.
**Skills and Attributes**
Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Well-developed ability to work in and with teams.
**Experience**
A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar a sales environment
Experience and responsibility for organizing own workload and completion of tasks.
**FAIS Compliance**:
Comply with the applicable Fit and Proper provisions as set out in the Board Notice 106 of 2008 issued by the Financial Services Conduct Authority governing Financial Advisory and Intermediary services Act, 2002
Determination of Fit and Proper requirements for Financial Service Providers, 2008.
Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the General Code of Conduct for Authorized Financial Services Providers and Representatives (as governed by the Financial Services Board, Board Notice 80 of 2003).
Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the Short Term Insurance Act No 53 of 1998 and supporting regulations.
Have an understanding of the provisions of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), No 38 of 2001 and amendments thereof.
