**Duties and responsibilities**
- Assist with practice administration, including management of the diary
- Prepare and draft schedules, liaise with local sheriffs, from time to time, Judge’s clerks, and Trademark Office staff
- Bring urgent matters to the attention of the attorney dealing with the matter
- Deal with matters promptly and efficiently and ensure that all urgent tasks are completed on time
- Ensure understanding all areas of practice and office procedures
- Attend to invoices and payment of third-party invoices timeously
- Capture time and folios, prepare invoices in accordance with procedure and dispatch invoices.

**Skills and knowledge**
- Display a high level of initiative and be pro-active in the administration of the practice
- Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Computer Literate and good knowledge of MS Word
- Must have an average typing speed of ±50 wpm with high accuracy

**Qualification/s**
- Matric
- Secretarial qualification
- 3 - 5 years’ secretarial experience
- Litigation experience is preferable
