**_ Position Purpose:_**
Develops, implements and manages TP People Management strategies, procedures and systems related to remuneration,
benefits, organisational structures and job evaluations.
Design and develop Transnet Property’s Total Reward strategy and philosophy in line with Group.
Accountable and responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance to continuously improve
remuneration and benefits policies, procedures and processes.
Provides HR strategic direction, in-depth planning and analyses, budgeting and sustainability measures aligned to the
organisations goals and objectives.
Provides principles and guidelines, for reward and recognition based on competitive and cost effective modelling, for
substantive negotiations, approval and implementation thereof. Ensures the approval and allocation planning for the annual
incentive program and, all employee related reward and recognition programs for the OD.
Develop and administer Transnet Property standard operating procedures to manage reward practices and drive pay equity
within company affordability. Ensure compliance to the Transnet rewards and job evaluation policies and guidelines.
Contribute to the transformation of business at organisational, team and individual level to ensure optimal business
performance through the diagnosis, development and implementation of Organisational Design interventions, principles and
practice
**_ Position outputs:_**
Provides leadership, guidance, training and support, to People Management, Line Managers, Functional GMs/Heads and
Service Providers on Remuneration, Benefits and Organisational Design though formal communications, presentations and,
group and individual consultations.
Participate in the development, implementation, communication and administration of the Total Reward system within
Transnet Ltd, which rewards and recognises good performance, attracts and retains appropriate skills to the organisation
Responsible for the management of remuneration for the Bargaining and non-bargaining employees to ensure that Transnet
Property remunerates its employees in line with sound corporate governance principles and Transnet principles.
Support Transnet Property employee relations efforts during the wage negotiations by providing data analysis and
recommendations based on competitive market information and job analysis as requested
Internal and external reporting for People Management; including market analyses, report submissions, survey participations
and data extractions and uploads, as well as on-going benchmarking.
Conduct annual risk assessment of Transnet Property’s total reward system/compensation programs, including, fixed pay,
variable pay, benefits, recognition plans etc. to ensure that the conduct of these plans do not encourage risky behaviours.
Ensure the continued implementation and maintenance of a job evaluation system for Transnet Property in support of the
business strategy
Ensure the establishment and operation of various remuneration related structures /committees so that developments
relating to the reward system are well managed and communicated such as employee value propositions and total reward
statement
Provided expertise support, guidance and training to People Management employees (enhance employee capabilities and
knowledge) on benefits and compensation matters, HC SAP systems and any revisions of People Management policies,
procedures and procedures.
Risk and Compliance: Provides Management direction and support to Internal and External Auditors on all Remuneration,
Benefits and Organisational Design matters, including submissions and reports on audit matters and resolutions thereof.
Management and development of subordinates within the remuneration department to ensure competent skill within the
organisation is developed
