Temporary Security Guard

We are seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill temporary positions as Security Guards at various locations throughout South Africa. As a temporary Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets at assigned sites. You will be required to perform a range of security duties, including but not limited to patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access points, and responding to incidents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to identify and respond to security threats.
- Control access points by verifying credentials and authorizing entry of authorized personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of security-related incidents and activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical incidents, and criminal activity.
- Provide assistance and support to employees, visitors, and guests as needed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency services as required.
- Follow established procedures for the handling of hazardous materials and the enforcement of safety regulations.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches and incidents as directed.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
- Valid PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) registration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security-related role.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Clean criminal record.
- Additional certifications or training in first aid, firefighting, or related fields will be considered an advantage.

**Additional Information**:

- Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with higher qualifications leading to higher pay.
