**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- A BCom degree or related is essential for this role.
- Previous experience having worked as a Senior Accounts Payable Controller is essential.
- Previous senior accounts payable experience having worked on SAP is preferred.
- Must have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience working with local and foreign creditors is preferred.
- Previous experience having worked in a manufacturing or trading / distribution company.
- Overseeing processing transactions of supplier and foreign invoices and import costing
- Presenting reports to management as well as managing financial policies and procedures
- Mentoring accounts payable controllers.
- Overseeing and ensuring that all invoices and monthly statements are obtained from the suppliers on time, and ensuring that invoices are correct in every aspect.
- Ensuring invoices are properly authorised in accordance with levels of authority and allocated to the correct supplier and general ledger accounts on a daily basis.
- Managing and overseeing the posting weekly payments and filing.
- Overseeing and managing the preparation of monthly reconciliations of creditors accounts statements against the A/P age analysis (local and foreign creditors).
- Overseeing the accurate reconciling G/L and creditors accounts on a monthly basis making sure that accounts are correctly balanced.
- Overseeing the reconciliations of supplier accounts.
- Overseeing the processing of stock invoices and reconciling and analysing all stock creditors accounts on excel and later SAP.
