Join a Team as an IT Systems and Network Specialist to provide expert technical support and solutions for a dynamic and professional IT business services company. Minimum 10 years of work experience in IT systems and network management. Demonstrated experience in multiple organizations for at least 3 years, supported by references. Beneficial knowledge of Sohos Firewalls, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus Switches, Networking/VLANs, Ruckus/Aruba/Ubiquiti wireless networks. Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux server hardware and network equipment. Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols, firewall management, and operating system configuration.

**Salary**: R20 000 - R30 000

Area: Onsite in JHB Northern Suburbs

**Responsibilities**:
1. Technical Support:

- Provide timely and efficient technical support as needed.
- Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and effective communication in problem-solving.
- Quickly adapt and learn new technologies and solutions.

2. Server Management:

- Manage various server aspects including Domain, Exchange, AD, File, Print, and Storage.
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks.

3. Network Expertise:

- Work with high-end vendor equipment such as Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme, and Aruba.
- Assist in network design, capacity planning, VLAN setup, and other configurations.

4. Workstation and Hardware Support:

- Oversee configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user workstations, software, and peripherals.

5. IT Security:

- Implement policies, procedures, and technologies, including firewalls, to ensure robust IT security.

6. Technical Management:

- Prioritize and respond to help desk tickets.
- Plan and execute server upgrades, maintenance, and patches.
- Provide VoIP and ISP support.

7. Performance and Efficiency:

- Recommend and implement modifications to enhance server environment efficiency and reliability.
- Monitor and test network performance, providing statistical reports.

8. Documentation and Maintenance:

- Develop and maintain server and network documentation.
- Administer equipment upgrades and maintain technical specifications.

9. Network Enhancements:

- Conduct network audits and recommend improvements, upgrades, and repairs.

10. Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with the Cape Town-based team, offering both remote and onsite support.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of work experience in IT systems and network management.
- Demonstrated experience in multiple organizations for at least 3 years, supported by references.
- Beneficial knowledge of Sohos Firewalls, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus Switches, Networking/VLANs, Ruckus/Aruba/Ubiquiti wireless networks.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux server hardware and network equipment.

- Knowledge of virtualisation technology advantageous.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License and personal transport.
