**A Lecturer (Independent Contractor) vacancy exists at the Waterfall Campus in the School of Information Technology for the following qualification for the 2023 academic year**:

- IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development

**Competencies Required**:

- Effective Classroom Management
- Open to Development

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:
**Ideal**:

- Honours in Information Systems/ Computer Science/Information Technology / Computing / Engineering (with IT, Data/Telecommunications, or similarly related modules)

**Alternatively**:

- Honours degree in one of the IT/computer related fields with networking or a similarly related field to the third-year level.
- Bachelor’s degree with networking or a similarly related field to the third-year level PLUS a postgraduate diploma in a related field or in education.

**Minimum Work Experience Requirements**:

- Lecturing experience in network engineering
- Knowledge of the following:

- Data and Signals
- TCP/IP and OSI Models
- Types of networks and network protocols
- Data Transfer in Network Systems
- Bridging and Routing Systems
- Network Design Principles and Laws
- Transport and Application Layer Systems
- Quality of Service in Network Systems
- Git and GitHub
- Work experience as a network administrator or related position
- Certifications in networking will be an added advantage

**Working Conditions**:

- Availability to lecture Part-time during the week, between 8am - 5pm on campus.
- Deliver module content as prescribed in Module Outline.
- Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary.
- Grade all assessments for assigned classes.
- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
