Responsible for stakeholder engagement and create timeous incisive Management Information reports and associated insights / analytics to enable stakeholders in making informed business decisions.

**Job Description**:
Accountability: Facilitate and develop incisive Management Information
- Understand the overall context from relevant stakeholders (i.e. vision, strategic intent and objectives, associated business imperative and key supporting programmes) in order to support with meaningful and incisive management information.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand and develop appropriate MI in line with overall BAGL strategy and best in practice MI guidelines
- Design queries and processes using the appropriate tools (eg SQL) to access and aggregate the data according to the correct business rules as required by the stakeholders
- Create and support a migration plan to move reporting capability through the MI maturity model from reactive “what” reporting, through proactive “why”, and analytical “what if” ending up in predictive analytics “what will happen”, that is appropriate for the stakeholder maturity.

Accountability: Relationship and Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain relationship with relevant stakeholders to understand their requirements and gather feedback from them to improve or maintain the level of service provided
- Provide support and guidance on how to best support stakeholders with their requirements and make recommendations.
- Continually engagement with stakeholders to ensure that the current MI deliverables are still required and valid against requirements.
- Help educate stakeholders on how to interpret the MI by setting up meetings and explaining the findings.

Accountability: Data Quality
- Take responsibility for the definition, management, control, integrity or maintenance of data resource in the area.
- Identify new sources of data when required by the stakeholders and ensure updates are made to data definitions and to assist individual contributors with their understanding of the new requirements and potential impact.
- Participate in formal data audits conducted internally and by regulators and provide data for quality metrics where required.
- Be able to solve any problem, complaint, discrepancy or conflict that affects data in the business unit.
- Be vigilant for data inconsistencies and take appropriate remedial action if inconsistencies are found.
- Implement strategies to minimize risk of data errors impacting the reliability of MI being produced both by yourself and by your colleagues.

Accountability: Teamwork
- Provide mentorship to team members by assisting in development of new code and reports.
- Motivate team members and ensure that their efforts are recognised.
- Share knowledge with team members.

Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Information Management/Computer Science/Informatics (NQF level 6) or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years technical experience in Information Management.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with reporting or analytical tools and models, such as SQL, SSRS SQL, QlikView
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with MS Office packages at advanced levels.
- Experience of agile project methodologies preferred
