Preparation and scheduling of training interventions with the team reporting to you.

Ensuring all reports required by Operations and other divisions within the company is done correctly and timorously.

Ensure that 100% up-time on tracking units are achieved and maintained during the month.

Ensure all tracking units are repaired/ replaced timorously as per agreement with suppliers.

Ensure that all alarms generated by the tracking units are attended to timorously and corrective action taken.

Ensure all fuel orders done by team are correct and done timorously. All risks related to vehicle security and fuel theft are reduced/ eliminated.

Implementing and managing Policies and Procedures within the Tracking division relating to Fuel and Tracking units.

Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with internal divisions and suppliers and implement best practices within the tracking department.

Assist in Accidents/incidents investigations and reporting thereof.

Identify risky drivers and reporting thereof.

Daily, Weekly and monthly management reports to be submitted

Ensure that he/she starts work 10 minutes prior to the commencement of his/her shift in order to conduct a full and complete handover from the Day/Night shift Tracker;
A detailed handover is to be received from the Day/Night shift Tracker on a daily basis;
Ensure that vehicles are tracked according to Controllers hand overs on a continuous basis throughout the shift;
Vehicles are to be monitored for compliance in terms of the following:
Route deviations;
Adherence to speed limits;
Unauthorised stops.

Any deviations must be documented and reported to the Operations Chat Group immediately;
The Night tracker will be responsible for the briefing and de-briefing of all BVO’s;
Knowledge on know how the vehicles are being handled;
Knowledge of where the vehicles have travelled to;
If the vehicles are being abused;
Ensure that the BVO’s are arriving on time at their destinations;
Monitoring the fleet in real time;
Ensure accurate time keeping of the movement for each vehicle;
In respect of the tracking and diagnostics of the vehicles, ensure that the fleet vehicles can be tracked accurately;
Awareness of the average speed of each driver and how many detours are taken while they are en route;
Take preventative measures to ensure the safety of the drivers, and the cargo;
Evaluate data received from the vehicle tracking system and determine if steps need to be taken to improve driver efficiency or safety;
Foresee future events and take preventative measures;
Ensure that compliance of government regulations are up to date on all of the latest laws and regulations governing the fleet transportation industry. This will require that the Employee regularly study the laws pertaining to his or her industry or attend educational seminars specifically based upon transportation laws;
Monitoring and maintaining the system’s database of vehicles and BVO’s

Monitoring all telematics software on the vehicles and reporting any tampering, damage and/or improper use;
Provide on-demand detailed reports of vehicle locations and times from the GPS database;
Gather data to develop improvement plan for vehicle routing system;
Acts as liaison to emergency entities such as the local police department and health care units during crisis events such as accidents by vehicles;
Ability to accurately calculate load arrival times and other performance parameters;
Ability to develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system;
Prioritization: An understanding of what is the single most important task at any given moment;
Ability to think on one’s feet and make decisions quickly;
Listening skills: Willing to listen to drivers, office personnel, management regulators and their concerns;
Handle emergencies: the ability to stay calm and take decisions quickly;
Differentiate driver issues, decipher problems versus complaints and offer relevant solutions;
Effective communication which is the ability to speak professionally and remain calm under immense pressure;
Oversee assigned fleet’s operations and make direct reports to the Head of Operations/Department on fleet performance and other operational requirements;
Monitoring and Reporting no-drive zones;
Monitoring and reporting driver behaviour to guarantee drivers are behaving responsibly while operating the vehicles

Monitoring and managing vehicle GPS tracking system and generate detailed KPI reports;
Monitoring and reporting fatigue of drivers and field staff in keeping with the latest duty of care industry regulations, such as hours of co-ordination/planning;

Pay: R10 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
