Sherq Officer

A vacancy exists at the **BELLVILLE site**, reporting to the **Risk Manager as part of the SHERQ** department resorting under the Divisional SHEQ Executive the **SHERQ Officer shall participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) (ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 9001:2015)**.

The **SHERQ officer** shall be further **involved in incident & near miss management, conducting of internal IMS audits, raising/investigating/closing of NCRs, contractor control, hazard identification & risk assessment, compilation of aspect and impact registers, the maintenance of all relevant SHE applicable legislation and the planning and presentation of related SHER training.**

QUALIFICATION

**National Diploma Environmental Health or NADSAM or equivalent**
**ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 9001:2015 (Implementation, Internal Auditing certificate)**
**SAMTRAC, NEBOSH or equivalent**
**HIRA certificate**
**Legislation (OHS Act, PER, NEMA, COID, By-laws) certificate Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis Techniques (RCAT) or equivalent**
**Valid drivers licence**

EXPERIENCE

**Minimum of 5 years similar & relevant experience in monitoring, implementing, and auditing SHE** in a **technical, engineering, industrial environment is essential**
**Proficiency and proven experience** in **IMS implementation and internal audits**
**Proficiency and proven experience** in **Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)**
**Environmental & Waste Management**
**Raising/investigating/closing of Incidents & NCRs**
**Proficient in MS Office**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in all related **Implementation & maintenance of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.**
Conducting of **internal SHEQ audits and inspections**
**Writing & drafting SHEQ work instructions** and **procedures**
**Compiling monthly, SHE stats**
Perform **Incident and SHE NCR investigations**
**Hazard / Aspect Identification** and **Impact / Risk Assessment**.
**HSE training / awareness presenting**
