- 1. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Supervise and control all the activities of the plant (HS&E, Quality, Production, Engineering, Order handling, Internal logistics, Production Planning, Maintenance, etc) to maintain optimal cost levels and effectively meet customer requirements; and- Ownership over the Budget and the P&L of the plant.- 2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE JOB (NON-EXHAUSTIVE LIST):
- Scheduling and coordinating workflows based on the requirements defined in AX and their administration;- Ensures compliance with work discipline and safety regulations;- Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations;- Control compliance with applicable technology and quality assurance standards and the quality of manufacturing processes;- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards;- Responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time shipping; and- Active involvement and support to the implementation of group policies and procedures, securing full compliance.- 3. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE JOB (NON-EXHAUSTIVE LIST) - LOCAL SPECIFICITIES:
- Be responsible for the HS&E, production output, product quality and on-time shipment;- Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets to produce optimal results;- Implement strategies, in alignment with the Group, and provide clear sense of direction and focus;- Active participation on the daily planning meeting, analyzing the problems (tooling, materials, BOM’s, personnel, etc) and actively seeking for solutions;- Coordinate with all departments to fulfill the SLA and to obtain customer satisfaction;- Monitor local operations and trigger corrective actions; ? Escalate problems and potential solutions to GM or other related group functions when needed;- Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, and other Lean tools in his area of responsibility;- Support in the investigation of claims and definition of corrective actions;- Support in addressing employee issues or grievances and participation in collective bargaining agreements;- Coach, guide and develop his local team;- Provide support of the creation and the maintenance of Bill of Material and Routings;- Definition of the needs in production equipment and tooling in conjunction with production manager and engineering team; and ? Support of new products industrialization.- 4. POSITION SCOPE:
- Direct Reports: 34 people- Indirect Reports: 140 people- Project Management: Yes % of Project Management: 20 - 30 %-
**Inherent Requirements**
- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Education:
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience:
- More than 7-10 years of experience in Production Management of complex production environments and with large teams.- Knowledge & Skills:
- Languages: English + local language;- Computer skills in ERP, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc;- Proven managerial experience and good organizational and communication skills;- Knowledge of business management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources);- Strong team building, decision making and people management skills;- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example;- Familiar with H&SE regulations and industry standards and technical expertise;- Adaptability to changes and resilience;- Good mechanical/structural engineering knowledge; and- Good electrical engineering knowledge including wiring code knowledge.- Other requirements (licenses, certifications etc):
- Lean Manufacturing;- Six Sigma is a plus; and- Other problem solving or continuous improvement methodologies.- WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal contacts: Group functions, other group Operations departments, quality, Interco, logistics, warehouse, other plant managers, R&D, Commercial organization, etc.- External contacts: Suppliers, certification institutes, local authorities, etc.**What Qualification**
