**Abbott Core diagnostics division** provides diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

**Primary Objective of Position**
- Manage Responsible for the management of order entry and distribution team for South Africa.
- Support to African hubs and distributors were applicable.
- Supply Chain and logistics manager for Core Laboratories ADD, AMD & ADC divisions

**Major responsibilities**:
LOGISTICS:

- Month end reconciliation & valuation of inventory including tie outs of physical inventory to theoretical inventory.
- Ensuring monthly cycle count tie-outs
- Annual Stock count
- Local Inventory Control: Distribution & Supply Chain
- Review costs in line with SLA to analyze and identify opportunities for savings within distribution charges received from Logistics providers.
- Ensuring inventory is received in the country on time to meet demand including timeous repacking, relabeling and QA release as per agreed service levels with DSV (co-load process).
- Manage DII level for affiliate at the plan level.
- Analysis of products with short shelf life, and product with high inventory levels, and take appropriate actions to minimize shrinkage
- Review & intercompany & 3rd party stock invoices in preparation for approval for payment
- Review & issue of inventory samples for sales representatives ensuring sample costs remain within plan
- Overseeing full inventory control function - P.O. creation, GRV and QA release, correction of negative stock balances.
- Reviewing and authorizing shipping files and freight delivery invoices - DSV
- Managing third party distributor to ensure KPI’s are met - DSV
- Daily communications to Customer Experience Team regarding any item, specific changes or constraints in demand or supply.
- Own the link between supply chain activities locally, from manufacturers, between the divisions and the outsourced distributor company (DSV).
- Manage opportunity costs related to emergency shipments
- Visit key customers to resolve issue surrounding orders, distribution and customer service
- Ensuring that optimal stocks are carried at all regional distribution centers to meet plan/IBP sales

**Materials Management**
- Ensure item master maintenance (completeness, accuracy & integrity) Barcodes, list numbers etc.
- Manage communication and maintenance of stock item number changes.
- Compliance Export & Customs Duty
- Quarterly reviewing of all ADD tariff codes
- Assisting with the management of export customers
- Ensure compliance to all applicable local and international Abbott Policies & Procedures and all applicable government legislation (eg customs and duty, export documentation requirements etc)

**ORDER ENTRY SUPERVISION**:

- Manages & reviews regularly the pricing file in ADOC+ and ensures accuracy, completeness and validity of current prices
- Lead drive and monitor continuous improvement in the logistics for ADD/AMD through established business excellence programs.
- Host regular meetings with DSV to manage SLA and report to management on DSV KPI performance.
- Prepare & present monthly review of order entry statistics & DSV outsource provider performance
- Prepare and report on daily sales performance for the Division, run rates, and performance against plan.
- Ensures all processes are documented in Desk Top Procedures for internal control compliance & development.
- Adhoc Tasks as required by Financial Controller specific to the role

**Management of order entry team (40% of time)**
- Ensures maintenance of daily sales run rate to plan rate.
- Manages customer queries with resolution of all queries in 24 hours
- e.g. over shipment, wrong accessories etc.
- Implements corrective action.
- Supervising of day to day running of customer service department.
- Ensuring the timeous execution of all duties of the department
- Coordinates the leave planning for order entry to ensure continuity of daily sales un rate.
