**Job Advert Summary**:
The HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing HR support and advice. The role is an operational one and the scope of the role is wide-ranging, requiring a breadth of knowledge about HR products and services. The successful incumbent must have the willingness to get stuck in the detail and will be expected to develop a set of strong working relationships with the business managers

**Minimum Requirements**:

- A business or other related qualification with at least 3 to 5 year’s relevant experience
- Experience in managing relationships with internal clients
- Experience and understanding of BBBEE legislation particularly pertaining to the Equity and Skills elements of the scorecard.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
- Experience in processing basic payroll entries on a payroll system would be advantageous

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the HR team to ensure an accurate and seamless delivery of full range of HR services to the business.
- Work closely with management teams to understand their business, anticipate their HR requirements, and deliver proactive solutions to these.
- Work with the Head of HR and as part of the global team to support the annual cycle of activities including the budgeting process, remuneration review, performance management process and employee engagement survey and action planning.
- Drive the adoption of policies and practices.
- Ensure that the Maitland HR database is populated with up-to-date and accurate data for the client population
- Build strong collaborative relationships with key partners locally and in the rest of the network (Finance, Risk & Compliance, Marketing, IT, Business Development and Client Management)
- Provide other ad hoc HR advice and support as required
- Implement and execute all operational reward related programmes, supporting the Head of HR These programmes include salary benchmarking, benefits management, and annual compensation events.
- Coordinate the planning, preparation, and delivery of the annual remuneration review
- Provide support to Payroll, which may include payroll /review in South Africa and United Kingdom

- Proven operational knowledge of all aspects of HR work
- Self-motivated, mature, able to use own initiative and with the ability to influence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- A discreet and confidential manner with confidence, persuasiveness and the ability to motivate colleagues
- The ability to handle, manage and successfully resolve conflict
- Systematic with strong planning and organisation skills, numeracy, IT literacy and attention to detail
- Strong personal work ethic including experience of being managed remotely
- A practical hands-on approach and the ability to get things done
- A high degree of analytical skills with excellent numerical ability;
- Ability to work independently in a highly pressurised environment
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
