Business Development Consultant

The Business Development Consultant is responsible for presenting Optix products to potential clients and demonstrate how the product could bring value to clients.
Assist in identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and implementing growth strategies. The Business Development Consultant is to expand and grow market share and identify new prospects, increase revenue, and achieve overall business targets.
**AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Acquiring potential customers.
- Presenting our solutions online and on site to potential new customers
- Quote and contract negotiations
- Managing existing clients
- Achieving sales targets
- Grow market share
- Develop and demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas of Optix products and services.
- Create and conduct effective proposal presentations that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, and the solutions to their problems.
- Ensure complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- To manage, according to company service standard, the assigned Clients, post sales, to track, analyse, report on, and optimize client potential.
**SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Excellent MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge
- Good Leadership, organisational and managerial experience
- Excellent market knowledge
- Strong customer focus and problem resolution skills
- Excellent ability engaging and communicating (verbal, written and presentation) within all levels of an organisation.
- Great organisational skills for managing Client expectations and delivering product information in a concise manner.
- Assertive, persuasive, and persistent but still a great listener.
- Strength in working with businesses and can understand their needs and constraints.
- Have an open and engaging personality, and a creative mind.
- Quick on your feet in adapting you pitch to your prospect’s needs.
- Comfortable in a dynamic and competitive environment
- Be able handle objections well and are self-motivated and able to focus on primary tasks and avoid distractions.
- Proficient in understanding of latest technology.
- Excellent time management and relationship skills.
- Ability to facilitate creative solutions with excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in Marketing & Sales / Client Success / Experience / retention
- Experience within Logistic / Transport industries highly preferred.
**QUALIFICATION**
- Grade 12
- Diploma / higher certificate within the Sales & Marketing and / or Transport Sector
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
