The Data Quality Analyst will work alongside the Data Governance Analysts and business line data owners toensure that the Group'sdata quality is monitored and sustainably improved over time in order to enable qualityinsights which support person centred health and care.

As a specialist this individual will manage the quality, integrity and validity of data and is responsible fordeveloping processes to ensure optimum data quality.

This individual will also define meaningful data qualitystandards within the Group'senvironment.

OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist with research on development and trends for the Team Lead: Data Management.

Identify, compare and resolve data quality problems.

Monitor the quality of critical data over time using advanced analytical techniques.

Identify data quality issues, evaluate for quality and accuracy and perform root cause analysis onthese issues.

Identify areas of improvement to achieve data quality by researching and determining scope andcomplexity of issue so as to identify steps to correct the issue.

Identify long term solutions to business processes and systems and ensure culture change alignmentto ensure that any issues are sustainably resolved.

Determine business impact level for data quality issues by assessing issues and then measure andreport to management on the progress of data quality improvement.

Partner with colleagues and business line data owners responsible for data governance to ensurethat the remediation of data quality issues are appropriately prioritised. This is to ensure the highestimpact on commercial value and impact on person centred health and care.

Collaborate with IT to ensure that appropriate data quality controls are built into systems, analytictools and integration layers and ensure adherence to data quality standards.

Resolve all internal data exceptions in a timeous and accurate manner and develop goodrelationships with stakeholders across the business to resolve data quality issues.

Analyse data according to defined business rules and procedures and develop data quality bestpractice guidelines and provide end user education where necessary.

Ensure that the business has access to complete and accurate client data to support decision making.

Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT.

Participate in the process towards compliance of improvement interventions and provide regularprogress reports to the Team Lead: Data Management.

Oversee the collation, distribution and presentation of data and statistics as required by business.

Ensure full compliance to statutory regulations, policies, procedures, best practice, professionalstandards as well as the Group'sstrategy.

Review and update all policies relating to data quality.

Analyse data which includes trends and interpret patterns for feedback to business

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree at the appropriate NQF level in the area of information management, informationsystems, computer sciences or a related field.

DAMA or equivalent data management certification.

Qualification in the area of information management, information systems, computer sciences or arelated field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the area of data analytics, business analytics,system analysis and data analysis.

Experience in business process modelling.

Strong technical ability in data modelling, design, SQL and analytics tools.

Previous experience with data processing systems.

Exposure to the health care industry is beneficial.

KNOWLEDGE

Provide support to the ever evolving the Group'sstrategy of person centred health and care.

Continuously deepen the awareness of the strategy to address new challenges within the Healthcaresector, to build a competitive advantage and sustainability through the Group'smoat strategy.

Proven track record in business process analysis, systems and data analysis.

Solution focused and strong collaborative mindset.
