- **Duties and responsibilities**_

1. Receives, unpacks, and distributes goods to various departments and sites

2. re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves.

3. GRV of stock items received and recording on system

4. Perform Stock takes on all goods

5. Monitors and maintains current inventory levels;
6. Create, maintain and update stock sheets on system

7. Establish relationships with suppliers and reps

8. processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.

9. Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.

10. Responsible for house keeping

11. Follow established procedures for goods returned

12. Assist creditors department with processing orders, DNs and Invoices

13. Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting

14. Improve and document policies and procedures established for stock/inventory

15. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**_
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Database management skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
- **Distinguishing Characteristics**_

Position requires:
a) Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports;
b) Initiates action to replenish stock by processing purchase orders and other related paperwork;
c) Receiving, unpacking, and delivering items to shelves or requesting departments; d) Inspects shipments for accuracy and completeness, and resolves inconsistencies; and

e) Performs routine clerical duties in support of unit.

**Salary**: From R4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
