A Retirement Home in Randburg is seeking a Social Worker to join their management team.
The Social Worker will be responsible for promoting the holistic care of the aged, including physical-, psychological-, spiritual-, social
- Assessing the suitability of applicants for admission, providing feedback and facilitating admission to the Centre,
- Referral of applicants who do not meet the criteria for admission to alternative resources,
- Management of transfers of residents based on changed requirements, and providing support to the resident and family during this transition,
- Promoting the quality of life of residents through various programs and activities,
- Referring family members to specialist support groups where required,
- Liaison between the elderly, management and nursing staff to ensure person-centered care,
- Liaising with the community and identifying projects such as outreach programs,
- Recruitment, selection, training and on-boarding of volunteers who present programs or provide support to residents,
- Contributing to the annual report, annual business plan and progress reports,
- Responsible for the annual DQ98 assessment through the Department of Health and Social Development,
- General administration and assisting with the marketing of the Centre by providing relevant information to prospective applicants and their families.
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: R30 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
