- We are looking for an excellent Purchasing Expeditor - Work from home 100% of the time *

The Purchasing Expeditor is responsible for organizing and expediting all new and open
purchase orders. Communication between Skylink and the vendors we purchase from takes place via the Purchasing Expeditor. All communication must be kept up with regularly on a daily basis, and must all be logged/recorded within each purchase order. The goal of this role is to close out purchase orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. Sometimes thinking outside of the box to come up with possible solutions for an issue with a purchase order will be needed toassist the team.

- WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE: *
- Daily monitoring of Purchasing inbox
- Inbox always up to date and organized

- Daily follow ups on any critical/urgent purchase orders (may be more than once to get an answer)
- Phone calls when necessary for critical or late purchase orders
- All communication and updates from vendors are logged properly within the purchase
order in AvSight
- All Chatter notifications in AvSight are promptly acknowledged
- Answer the chatter as soon as possible, or at least “like” the Chatter to
acknowledge it’s been viewed. Be sure to communicate that you will work on the
answer and come back to the Chatter to update accordingly.
- In the event you are not “available” during any time of the day, please advise the
Purchasing Manager so that she is aware.
- Create and send PO’s in a timely manner and with proper information
- Utilize ILS and Partsbase when necessary for market
- Notify Warehouse Coordinator / Order Management when a shipment appears to not be tracking and/or stuck in customs so they can clear the shipment
- Communicate with Purchasing Manager and Client Success Manager to keep them up
to date on any concerns or problems you are encountering
- Be aware of shipping dates
- there are times you will have to adjust the shipping method if something delays the shipping (quality issue, payment issue, changes, etc.)
- Organized with daily duties and PO details
- Retrieve freight quotes as needed for heavy shipments and coordinate pickup between
freight forwarder and vendor
- Clear and concise communication with the vendor, as well as internally with the team
- Proactive work ethic and self-sufficient.
