Job Description

Key components of this role are:

- To execute Regular IS Basic Tasks
- To protect the Network
- To keep the systems up & running
- To provide user support and troubleshooting
- To ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures
- To display and communicate the Company’s culture
- To maintain regular communication with Regional IS Manager and District Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Branch technical support
- Provide same day technical support for District operations and address incoming support queries
- Resolve common incidents and problems efficiently
- Monitor systems backups and communicate/address issues
- Provide support for server administration, systems installation, upgrades, replacements and troubleshooting
- Server room maintenance and administration
- Audio/visual equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Telecom administration and maintenance
- Support branch disaster recovery efforts as they occur
- Conduct regular branch IS self-audits
- Leverage and fully optimize existing systems and tools
- Create a community that promotes the sharing of best ideas and practices and be a catalyst in promoting global consistency
- Collaborate with CHQ and GEO IS during global/regional deployments to provide branch feedback
- Offer suggestions and comments to Regional IS Manager/Geo IS for systems improvements
- Assist with the implementation of global, regional and branch IS projects
- Asset Management such as Purchasing, Shipping, Tracking, Maintenance
- Help to increase branch productivity by identifying processes that could be improved or automated and by developing an approved solution for them

Qualifications
- Global Logistics industry knowledge including latest technologies and industry trends
- General understanding of Expeditors operations, logistics, and business
- Basic understanding of Windows Server (e.g., Active Directory, Remote Administration), Unix Systems, and EDI protocols
- Microsoft Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Command Line Scripting)
- PC troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment knowledge
- Mobile device troubleshooting (iOS/Android)
- Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN)
- Effective problem solving skills
- Windows automation (PowerShell, etc.)
- Printer/copier troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills
- Positive and willing to help attitude
- Innate drive to help others
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring on a regular basis
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Training Requirements:

- Complete the level 1 IS Certification (approximately after first year complete)
- Complete Lynda playlists in the set timeframe.

Education and Experience:

- University degree/technical degree
- Minimum of 6 month work experience, preferably in logistics industry
