**Main Purpose of Position**

The successful person will be responsible for management and delivery of the entire project. This includes understanding project goals, managing the data preparation, and financial boundaries to meet project deadlines.

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**

**1. Project Management**
- Ensure the project is integrated with the business and IT systems strategy and produce an agreed Project Definition prior to
- commencement.
- Ensure the project is developed to agreed quality standards, and delivered within timescales, budget and agreed scope.
- Produce project plans, establishing targets, resource requirements and budget.
- Monitor progress against plans, taking action to ensure agreed targets are achieved, managing issues and changes. Escalate appropriately.
- Lead the project team, establishing targets resource requirements and budget.
- Manage project risks including the development of contingency plans.
- Set improvement targets and performance measures for the team and individuals.
- Manage and build on supplier relationships, ensuring value for money.
- Establish close working relationships with business and IT colleagues to ensure project success.
- Develop yourself and other people to improve personal and business performance.

**Project Start Up**
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and Technology and relevant Directors.
- Prepare Project Initiation Documents and project briefs to be signed off by the Head of Business Enablement.

**Project Planning**
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel (including branch employees).

**Data Preparation**
- Review readiness of operational data for the branch rollout
- Actively engage in correcting and aligning any data anomalies
- Engage with branch manager to verify and correct data
- Sign off on data accuracy before uploading into the ISA system

**2. Ensuring effective management of the project financial performance**
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary

**3. Ensuring effective management of the project delivery timelines & milestones**
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

**4. Ensuring effective management of the project staff and sub-contractors**
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

**5. Effective project reporting**
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and Head of Business Enablement in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with Head of Business Enablement on an ongoing basis.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and Head of Business Enablement
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Update and Analyze Stats on a predetermined basis

**QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Project Management Certification
- More than 5 years project management experience at a senior level
- Intermediate to advanced experience in data preparation for system implementation
- Advanced experience in a system rollout across multiple functions/divisions/branches
- Advanced experience in project management pertaining to building work, managing of contractors, internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work with large sets of data
- Able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of source

**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: R84,000.00 - R90,000.00 per month
