Organising and controlling customer base
Analyse Qlikview reports daily or weekly as required
Submit weekly/monthly customer analysis and sales reports
Prepare and schedule customer visits according relevant statistics (i.e. Category and customer account data and history)
Call on existing and potential clients
Compiling contacts lists utilising a range of resources for collecting information to create, maintain and retain customer base
Work within the provided framework of budgeted turnover and gross profit.
Establish relationships with new customers and secure contracts with new customer
Relentlessly drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closing the sale
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
Qualify prospects against company criteria for potential customers and sales growth
Consult with prospects about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits and services we offer
Maintain a high level of relevant environment/industry knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects and maintain existing customer base
Be able to draft and deliver presentations and proposals to senior managers and decision makers
The ability to work well with all levels of both internal and external customers
Consult with product specialists where required to address specific customer needs
Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for Bidvest Waltons to deliver value, provide customers with strategic motivators (e.g. promotion and once off deals)
Understand the process of buying processes and forecasting sales
Report on sales activities and keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interaction
Work closely with the warehouse and delivery teams and internal support to proactively address problems
Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
Provide feedback to management on ways to decrease the sales cycle time frame and increase sales while maintaining and improve the company’ brand and reputation
Deliver value to customers by providing feedback to management and any relevant business units on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs and;
Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace
Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
Selling and promoting goods and services
Ensure all necessary information/documentation is obtained before calling on a customer
Ability to identifying customer needs and establish customer profiles
Informing/advising customers of a range of products/services available
Acknowledging customer needs by recommending alternative goods and services offered.
Focused on after sales support and monitoring to ensure exceptional customer service delivery
Administration
Updating customer information on Skynamo
Log calls on Skynamo as per required standard
Maintaining customer contracts and any other relevant information on Skynamo
Follow-up on customer orders, queries, requests and buy-outs
Administering petrol expenses occurred.
Complete new business and lost business reports and submit to manager on monthly basis as well as any other reporting required

At least 5 - 10 years’ sales experience, with a proven track record in cold calling, closing the deal and exceeding targets
Sales or Marketing qualification would be an advantage
Own transport and valid driver license (non-negotiable)
