My client in beautiful Umhlanga is looking for friendly, efficient and guest centric FOH Manager to help lead the team of their unique dining experience
- Creating the mood, vibe and energy with the goal of achieving ultimate customer satisfaction
- Greeting and welcoming guest, answering calls, and directing as needed.
- Managing walk in, on
- line and telephonic bookings including deposits and seating
- To lead and organize the front office and restaurant team, to set and maintain standards and to strive to always keep improving standards whilst maintaining budget and gross profit.
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the team members for a sensational experience, being well-prepared and presented, to enhance the brand and profits derived from activities, food, and beverages.
- To efficiently administer and action daily mail, staff rosters, leave forms and other paperwork that is required to ensure accurate records.
- Manage shifts which include daily decision making, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
- To ensure the guests receive the highest level of painting, food and beverage service by establishing random checks and ascertaining customer's satisfaction
- To ensure the correct billings are done for all bisque, food and beverages.
- Establishing policies and procedures
- Effective stock control
- Ordering, receiving, and controlling of stock of bisque and such other consumable items.
- Training of staff
- Branding and social media activities
- Advertising and soliciting customers.
- Event management and co-ordination with F&B
- Such other duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Requirements:

- Qualification related to the Hospitality industry.
- 5 years previous experience in a restaurant or similar role
- Excellent command of the English language and great customer relations/ service skills
- Must be well groomed, energised, organised, ambitious, dependable, courteous, and flexible.
- Effective complaint handling skills, service recovery skills and diligence
- Knowledgeable on restaurant service standards, and table side service
- Team leader, excellent with staff and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Must be charismatic, energetic, enthusiastic, and driven to succeed.
- Must be willing to work extra hours when required.
- To take personal responsibility for any guest situations, seeing the situation through until a positive resolution is established
