**Project Planning and Control Specialist**:

You will be working as Project Planning Specialist, and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Project Director and will be responsible to develop project plans and schedules that balance available resources with the critical tasks to be undertaken during the on-site construction, installation, and commissioning activities of the project. Continuously monitor project progress and escalate potential schedule conflicts or resource overloads to site and construction management for resolution.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Analyze project requirements and advises Project Planning & Controls Manager/Project Manager in planning. Oversee coordination with related teams through regular planning meetings.
- Define together with the site team the project work
- breakdown structure, ensuring adherence to the project
- schedule, verifying, and linking all the interrelated
- activities, with supervision/approval of Site Manager or
- Site Construction Manager.
- Define the necessary manpower for project completion, evaluating the work breakdown structure and standard productivity. Tracks and updates the project revenues forecast including cost deviations.
- Utilizes project planning tools and techniques to
- monitor project progress and ensure completion of all
- activities. Notifies Site Manager or Site Construction
- Manager and Project Planning Specialist of any
- deviations or scheduling issues and provides inputs for
- optimizing resources.
- Formalizes the site acceptance plan.
- Ensures projects follow sound methodology and
- execution practices in accordance with internal
- standard procedures.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and
- updates on-site plan.
- Effectively communicates appropriate information to
- customer and other stakeholders in a timely manner
- and to achieve desired understanding.

**Your background**:

- Minimum B-Tech (Electrical or Electronics &
- Communication Preferred) (NQF7)
- Additional management qualifications
- preferable (NQF8)
- Working knowledge of a variety of planning
- software (e.g. P6, Project).
- Strong oral and written communication and
- presentation skills
- Experience in planning of large-scale infrastructure projects 5+ years
- 1+ EPC projects of Power Generation Plant or 1+ EPC project of Power plant. Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
